Our Mission

Our mission is to bring people together in a group fitness environment; providing a positive outlook and approach towards fitness and overall health.  Being FIT physically, mentally, socially and spiritually, helps us to be better equipped on handling daily tasks, with a positive sense of well being, allowing us to reach out to others, so that we are able to glorify God in all that we do.

The Experience

The Fit For Life class schedule offers various exercises, focusing on key components, for total body conditioning. Our cardio HIT classes, offer a higher level of heart pumping, fun, energetic, yet modified if needed program, for those looking for that extra boost!


If you are new to fitness or want a challenge, then FFLM is for you!!  You will find that we laugh a lot, we work out a lot, and we pray a lot!!  This is not your typical gym; we are a Christian Group fitness exercise and wellness program, designed specifically for your needs. At the end of each class, we leave with Spiritual strengthening, a short devotion, scripture and prayer.

We work on cardio, muscular strength, agility, breathing, coordination, stretching, flexibility, fall prevention, balance, range of motion, memory and spiritual strengthening.

Bio

Over the years, Joyce has had the privilege of being involved with other gyms locally, as a member. After receiving her certifications, she turned her focus on teaching others to stay STRONG with Silver Sneakers. During that time she was able to start FFLM’s, as a total Group Fitness Community, a NO MACHINES JUST YOU program.

Joyce felt the need for a program that focuses on the the Total Body Wellness, not just the physical part of getting FIT. Therefore FFLM was created, where we get FIT physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. She wanted people to feel valued and worthy to be a part of a program that truly does care about their wellness. FFLM has given Joyce the opportunity to work with others in this community, where she absolutely LOVES her JOB!

Bio

Donna worked in the quality management field for several years and then became an assistant professor at Purdue University. She combined her love of teaching and fitness when she began leading group exercise classes. Over the past several years she has taught a variety of classes. She believes fitness is a lifestyle and part of your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Cathy has been in the fitness business for over 16 years. Her love for helping people to get moving and stay strong and healthy has been her passion and what’s lead her to help many people along the way. “I love meeting new people and discussing what their needs are, figuring out the best place to start, and then motivating them to keep moving forward. I’ve had the awesome opportunity to work with cancer survivors and I’m always amazed at their commitment to regaining their strength, flexibility and balance. And if I can put a smile on someone’s face while working with them, then I feel blessed.”

I met you only a little over a year ago, but you and your Fit for Life Ministry have really made an enormous difference in my life. I had been struggling for years, watching my weight creeping up.  I tried eating correctly, but that wasn’t working.  I hated the thought of exercising, but know I was going to have to bite the bullet and find a program for women only.  That is when Judy mentioned your ministry to me.  The rest is history!

Since I joined our group, I have lost 30 + pounds, but I have gained the friendships of some wonderful women, and grown in my faith.
I had a doctors appointment, the doctor was very pleased with my weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.  He told me to keep doing what I’ve been doing as it is working!!  You are an inspiration and role model to all of us.  Thank you for you and your ministry.  You have made a difference!

Fit For Life has been a blessing to me in many ways.  My first goal was to ride my bike to class.  Little did I know I could achieve that goal quicker than I thought, because my strength and determination came quicker than I thought.  My second goal is to continue to attend…need to work on that one.

Ive been blessed by your ministry through your physical workout regime as well as your ministerial guidance.  Your prayers often, maybe always ask for strength.. God hears you and so do we as we feel our bodies nourished in His presence.
